Pecan Deluxe sweetens desserts with new brownie pieces
Food tailor and ingredients company, Pecan Deluxe Candy, has announced that it is expanding its line of brownie pieces to the Australian market.
The brownie pieces have already proved successful in the US and European markets, featuring in products like ice creams, frozen yogurts, trifles and sundaes.
It will now be available for Australian food manufacturers as a premium product.
“Australia is influenced by trends in the US and Europe, but they are great innovators in their own right, and this shows with the introduction of new, exciting product lines in the Australian marketplace,” said Graham Kingston, the managing director of European and Asia Pacific operations.
Cut into small sizes, the brownies can be supplied frozen or ambient – following a second bake to reduce moisture.
Pecan Deluxe recommends using the product as a topping on bakery products, such as donuts and waffles, in beverages, such as hot chocolates and freakshakes, and in ice creams.
Company research shows Australia's demand for ice cream experienced a 5 per cent growth last year, driven by increased consumer consumption.
Pecan recommends pairing brownies with popular soft serve and dessert flavours, including salted caramel and Belgian chocolate, as well as Asian flavours, like matcha and green tea.
Kingston commented that the new product could be used to help “food developers create their own unique and desirable lines to feed the demand for premium consumer experiences across the continent.”
All Pecan Deluxe products are made using high quality ingredients in ISO certified facilities.
