Winners of 2018 Australian Women in Wine Awards named

Mollydooker Wines' Sarah Marquis, Owner / Operator of the Year at the 2018 Australian Women in Wine Awards.

The fourth annual Australian Women in Wine Awards were announced on Friday November 16 with winemakers, owners and retailers from around the country recognised and celebrated.

Unveiled at Quay Restaurant as part of the inaugural Australian Women in Wine Symposium and Awards Day, 23 finalists shone across eight categories.

Amongst the winners was Mollydooker Wines' Sarah Marquis, named Owner / Operator of the Year.

Based in McLaren Vale, South Australia, Marquis took ownership of Mollydooker Wines in 2017, during which time she overhauled the operation, remaking a family-run business into a global brand; 80 per cent of Mollydooker Wines' product is exported for the overseas market.

"It’s a tremendous honour to be recognised as a valuable contributor to the industry I am so passionate about, and in doing so help the community organisations we support through the success of the business," says Marquis.
