Archie Rose Distillery wins top design award
The distillery in Sydney has been crowned Best International Bar at the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards.
Archie Rose Distillery, Sydney's first independent distillery since 1853, has been recognised internationally for its design at the recent Restaurant & Bar Design Awards.
The distillery was named Best International Bar at the prestigious awards, which focus solely on the design of food and beverage spaces across the world and are now in the 7th year of prize-giving.
The award-winning Sydney-based distillery opened in March 2015 complete with an ageing facility and an adjoining bar. The space was designed by Acme & Co, a design firm based in Pott's Point, and the project was also shortlisted for the 2015 NSW Architectural Awards.
Archie Rose was not the only Australian venue to feature on the winners list at the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards 14/15. Bond Lounge (designed by Hachem) was named as best nightclub in the UK and international category, while ACME (designed by Luchetti Krelle) earned the title of Best Australian and Pacific Restaurant.
