WHERE I EAT: Lennox Hastie

Lennox Hastie, head chef of Sydney's Firedoor, dishes the heat on his favourite places to eat.

Typically it's tomatoes on sourdough bread with olive oil, salt and pepper.

LuMi Bar & Dining in Pyrmont. It's Italian meets Japanese. It's refreshing, inventive and an entirely welcome combination to Sydney. My wife and I are regular diners, the chef Frederico has become a close friend.

I enjoy eating at Boon Cafe on Pitt Street. It has a great space and food.

Single Origin, it's around the corner from Firedoor.

We enjoy going to yum cha in Chatswood. My son Alex loves it, but it gets very messy.
